Typically, these cards are for those who, for one reason or another, don't have good credit. If they aren't a standard credit card, they are basically a debit card, which works the same as a credit card, and iin the same places, but you have to put money in first, rather than pay later.
As for true credit cards for people with less than good credit, we lost a couple of our best offers with the subprime mess, so we are featuring the best of the debit cards. The terms aren't great, as you might expect. However, if you must have a "money" card, one of these offers might be for you - check the interest rate, fees and starting available credit. If you are rebuilding your credit and don't like the one above, check into the prepaid/debit cards below.
